Managing Projects (Tasks)

In the Playground, each annotation run is a task. Tasks appear in the sidebar; you open one to see its reference image(s), jobs (runs), and results. This guide summarizes task-related actions: viewing the list, selecting a task, creating a new one, deleting, and editing or rerunning a task.

Overview

  • Task — One annotation "project": the image(s) you uploaded plus one or more jobs (each job is one AI run with a prompt/model/resolution). A task can have multiple jobs if you rerun with different settings.
  • Sidebar — Lists your tasks (newest first), with a thumbnail, date, status, and output count. Scroll for more; click a task to open it.
  • Main area — When no task is selected, you see the Image & Prompt card to create a new task. When a task is selected, you see the task view: reference image(s), the current job's prompt and result, and actions to edit, rerun, favorite, or share.

The URL updates when you select a task: /playground?task_id=.... You can bookmark or share that link to return to a specific task (when signed in).

Task list (sidebar)

Viewing tasks

  • The left sidebar shows your tasks, one per row.
  • Each row shows:
    • A thumbnail of the first reference image (or an icon if not yet loaded).
    • Date and time the task was created.
    • Status icon: pending, processing, completed, failed, or cancelled.
    • Favorite indicator (star) if any job in the task is favorited.
    • Output count (e.g. "1 output image").
  • The list loads in pages (e.g. 20 per page). Scroll to the bottom to load more; when there are no more, "No more tasks" appears.
  • If the sidebar is collapsed, use the chevron (or Toggle Sidebar) to open it. Use the + button (or New Task) to start a new task without opening the sidebar.

Selecting a task

  • Click a task row to open it. The main area switches to the task view (reference image, jobs, results). The selected row is highlighted and the URL becomes /playground?task_id=<id>.

Creating a new task

  • New Task — Click the + button (top-left when the sidebar is collapsed, or in the sidebar header when open). This:
    • Clears the current task selection.
    • Resets the Image & Prompt form (no image, no prompt).
    • Shows the main Image & Prompt card so you can upload and submit a new task.

You must have at least one image and then click Submit to create a task; see Quick Start.

Deleting a task

  • Hover over a task row in the sidebar; a trash (delete) button appears.
  • Click the trash button. A confirmation dialog appears: Delete Task — "Are you sure you want to delete this task? This action cannot be undone. All task data will be permanently deleted."
  • Choose Delete to confirm or Cancel to keep the task. On success, the task is removed from the list. If the deleted task was the one currently open, the view returns to the Image & Prompt card (no task selected).

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Task view (main area)

When a task is selected, the main area shows:

  • Reference image(s) — The image(s) you uploaded for this task.
  • Jobs — Each job is one run (one prompt/model/resolution). If you've rerun, there are multiple jobs. You can switch between jobs with previous/next controls.
  • For the current job: the prompt used, model/resolution, and the annotated result (with download, copy, etc.).
  • Actions: Edit Prompt, Rerun, Favorite, and Share to gallery (where available).

Edit prompt & rerun

  • Edit Prompt — Opens a modal where you can change the prompt, model, resolution, and (if your plan supports it) Web Search. Click Rerun Task to submit a new job with the same reference image(s) but your updated settings. The new job appears in the list and uses credits like a new run.
  • Rerun (without opening the modal) — Submits another job with the current prompt, model, and resolution. Useful to get a fresh result without changing settings.

Rules:

  • You cannot edit or rerun while any job in this task is still pending, queued, or processing. Wait until the current job finishes (completed or failed), then edit or rerun. The UI will show a message if you try too soon.
  • Consent and credits apply the same as for the first run; ensure you have accepted the processing terms and have enough credits.

Favorite

  • For the current job, you can mark the result as a favorite. Favorited results can be kept longer (subject to your plan). The task row in the sidebar can show a star if any job in that task is favorited.
  • For the current job, you can Share to gallery to publish the annotated image to the public gallery. This is one-way; once shared, the action does not "unshare." See your plan and the gallery for visibility and retention.

When a task won't open

If the task fails to load (e.g. not found or no permission), the main area shows a message like "We couldn't open this task" and a Back to Playground button. Click Back to Playground to clear the selection and return to the Image & Prompt card. The URL is reset to /playground.
